Stack. Astro 7, statically generated withoutput: 'static'. Tailwind 4 via its Vite plugin. MDX content collections for essays, notes, patterns, books, talks, and projects. TypeScript in strict mode. React is mounted for islands only — there are no React pages.

Host. The site lives atphurix.dev. Deploys run from themaster branch and the build emits a flatdist/ that any CDN can serve.

Fonts. Space Grotesk for display, Inter for UI, Lora for long-form prose, JetBrains Mono for technical labels. All four are self-hosted via the Astro Fonts API and declared as CSS variables in theme.css.

Type. All type is hand-set. The body face is Lora at 18px on a 1.7 line-height on long-form pages, capped at 65 characters per line. The chrome runs Inter at 14–16px. Display headlines use Space Grotesk at 400 weight — never 700.

Palette. White canvas with a near-black primary CTA, deep green for product bands, coral for editorial taxonomy, and a focus-blue for interactive states. One accent job per color.

Imagery. Topic photographs come from Unsplash, bundled locally and processed at build time viaastro:assets to WebP with responsive widths. They appear with rounded corners and a soft card shadow. No overlays, no filters, no parallax.

RSS. Available at /rss.xml. The feed merges essays, notes, and patterns into a single reverse-chronological stream. Per-tag feeds are not generated.

Privacy. No third-party analytics. No tracking. No cookies. The only network requests beyond this domain are the font files (Google Fonts via Astro Fonts) and the optional Unsplash photo CDN. If a feature ever needs analytics, it will be added deliberately and documented here.

How to cite. Suggested format: Author, "Title," phurix, DATE, URL. Unless otherwise noted, all writing is licensedCC BY-NC 4.0. Short quotes are welcome with attribution.
